The Rich List, drawn up by FourFourTwo magazine, shows that the top ten wealthiest men in football are worth a collective £27 billion and are unsurprisingly headed by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, who is worth a staggering £10.8 billion.

Nike confirmed this morning a $580 million bid for Britian soccer gear maker Umbro, raising the stakes in its drive to become the world's leading soccer supplier.
