HONG KONG (AP) - David Beckham scored a late goal before the Los Angeles galaxy lost in a penalty shootout Sunday to Hong Kong club South China in the final leg of its preseason Asian exhibition tour. David Beckham left a waitress a $1,000 tip, even though the entire bill only amounted to $100.

Beckham and his teammates were at Joxer Daly's bar celebrating after they beat Hollywood United 12-4 in a charity game when he left the big tip.

Waitress Claudia Belden is quoted as saying: "David only drank mineral water. He signed autographs for anyone who asked. He smelled so nice! I hugged him so tight and he didn't mind at all."

David Beckham set up one goal as Los Angeles galaxy eased to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Shanghai-Hong Kong United in Shanghai today. The England midfielder was substituted with 20 minutes remaining after taking a knock to his right thigh, although the injury is not serious. SHANGHAI, China (AP) - Carlos Ruiz scored all three goals, including one off a pass by England midfielder David Beckham, as the Los Angeles galaxy beat Shanghai-Hong Kong United 3-0 in Shanghai on Wednesday. Ruiz of Guatemala scored once just before the half and twice in the last 10 minutes. Beckham sat out the last 20 minutes of the game after being kicked in the right thigh in the first half.
