  Why a SCHOLARSHIP?
How to win a soccer scholarship?
What to do and when to do it?

How do i find out which colleges offer athletic scholarships?

NCAA Division 1, NCAA Division 2, NAIA , NJCAA Division 1 , and NJCAA Division 2 can offer
athletic scholarships. You should also be aware that individual colleges and
conferences have their own athletic scholarship rules and policies.
To find out about available scholarships you can ask the coach.

Full ride (100%) soccer scholarships are exceptional.

Unless you are the best with the right Xposure, you may only receive a partial scholarship.
Scholarships are limited: for example, NCAA DII provides 9.9 women soccer scholarships per
team. The following table provides accurate scholarship distribution information:

  Women’s team
  NCAA Division I 12
  NCAA Division II 9.9
  NCAA Division III Not allowed
  NAIA 12

  Men’s Team
  NCAA Division I 9.9
  NCAA Division II 9.0
  NCAA Division III Not allowed
  NAIA 12

If you are interested in a soccer scholarship there are three things that have to be
  considered before applying:

1 What kind of University are you looking for?
2 Are you strong enough academically & athletically?
3 Scores on the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) and/or ACT, TOFEL tests

Requisites to participate in the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA):
“Five or more different academic subject passes at High School level - Including Maths,
English, Science and Social studies (history, geography etc.) with an overall average of
grade ‘C’, ‘3′, or equivalent.” (NCAA)
In addition, an SAT score of approximately 860 will be necessary.
Requisites to participate in National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA):
“‘C’ or ‘3′ grade average overall in High School, Secondary School or an alternative academic
institution such as a College. It will also be necessary for the school authorities to confirm
that his/her marks were in the ‘Top Half’ or 50% of the class. An SAT score of approximately
  860 may be necessary.” (NAIA)

  Why a SCHOLARSHIP?
We help the student-athlete to obtain scholarships that he/she may be qualified for.
You must understand that full scholarships are rare, and most of the finances awarded by
Colleges are partial scholarships; that means you will have to be prepared to have
  supplementary financial resources.

Average college costs for one-year attendance:
  Tuition: $6,000 — $30,000
  Room & Board: $4,000
  Books: $1,500
  Meal Plan: $3,000
Think about the health insurance and extra expenses.
  Total Average: $15,000 tuition + $8,500 = $22,000 per year

How to win a soccer scholarship?
To win a scholarship you must be known as a great player and demonstrate that you will be
playing a key role on the team.
You should be in the right scene to be exposed to scouts and coaches.
You have to market yourself better than the competition. It is not an easy task so start
  early.

What to do and when to do it?
As soon as you think about it, work on your "Xposure" plan.
You must show some proof that you deserve a special attention.
  Don’t wait!
TNT, today not tomorrow should be your strategy to be ready for a life time change.
Your key to success in the college athletic recruiting process is a rigorous preparation
accomplished over at least 2 years between the age of 16-20.
Submit your resume to as many college coaches as you can is great, but they see so many
of them that you need to grasp their attention in the best of manners, so they can
recognize and feel that you are the one.
  Register with the NCAA Clearinghouse.
Check out the NCAA Academic Requirements.
Make sure you are on track in relation to “core requirements”.
Prepare a videotape that includes a real and dynamic INTRODUCTION, which will IDENTIFY
your GAME FOOTAGE, BASIC SKILLS AND DRILLS & PERSONAL HIGHLIGHTS.
Length should be around 20-30 minutes.
This may convince Coaches to recruit you or at least to see you play.
Work hard on your studies and keep focused on the NCAA academic requirements.
Take into account what a college can offer you academically as well as the colleges sporting
  programs.
Maybe if you are worth it, the college will pay for your travel and accommodation during
  these home weekends.

The scholarship is a tremendous opportunity to study and get the education you deserve
while playing soccer in professional facilities, at little cost.

  NCAA Initial-Eligibility:

Fall 2008 enrollees need to sign final amateur certification on or after April 1, 2008.
  How to Request Final Certification.

Starting August 1, 2008, NCAA Division I student-athletes will be required to take 16 core
courses, this applies to any student first entering a college of university on
or after August 1 . Division II will remain with a 14 Core-Courses rule.

The SAT and ACT have changed their writing tests; SAT writing section is mandatory and
the ACT writing section is optional.
View NCAA Freshman-Eligibility Standards Quick Reference Sheet to see specific course and
  test breakdown.

are to be sent directly from the testing agency (use code “9999” to request ACT or SAT
  test scores).

  Important the NCAA Eligibility Center?

The NCAA Eligibility Center certifies that college-bound athletes who wish to compete in
Division I or II athletic programs have met necessary academic credentials and are of
amateur status. NCAA colleges and universities set these regulations to ensure all student
athletes meet NCAA standards, including required core courses.

To qualify for NCAA eligibility and view core course requirements, register with the
NCAA Eligibility Center by completing the Student Release Form and amateurism
questionnaire at the beginning of junior year.

The NCAA Guide for the College Bound Student Athlete?

The NCAA Guide for the College-Bound Student-Athlete offers instructional guidelines for
high school student-athletes who wish to pursue athletics at the collegiate level.
Every student-athlete and parent needs a copy of this guide. download the online version.

The NCAA Guide for the College-Bound Student-Athlete contains information on the
  following:

  • Amateurism-Eligibility Requirements
  • Academic-Eligibility Requirements
  • Recruiting Rules for Division I, II, and III
  • Core Courses, GPA, Tests, and Special Conditions
  • NCAA Eligibility Center
  • Questions to Ask as You Consider Colleges
  • Information for Parents and Guardians
  • Details for High School Counselors and Athletics Administrators

Please remember that meeting the NCAA academic rules does not guarantee your
admission into a college. You must still apply and be accepted to the institution you
